Next Generation Surgical Robotics.

Rising above complexity in critical care: enabling workflows and precision.

In surgical robotics, complexity is necessary, but confusion is dangerous. The best surgical experiences allow surgeons to extend their natural skill rather than adapt to new systems. How might we lift the interface above the noise, creating clarity in critical moments?

During early Research & Technology exploration at Medtronic’s Surgical Operating Unit, I led a cross-functional, user-centered design team of 10+ who rose above complexity to reduce cognitive load while improving surgical precision.

My role focused on translating clinical insight into actionable design direction, helping engineering and product partners align around human-centered priorities in a highly regulated, high-stakes environment.
